The Carter Wellington Platform (CWP) is shared by users around the globe. We understand and appreciate how much effort you, as our business partner, have invested in building your client and candidate portfolios.
To ensure that your efforts are protected, the CWP only displays full record details and contact information to the record owner. If a user views a record that they do not own, details such as email address and contact telephone numbers are unavailable. In the case of candidates, any attached files such as resumes and CVs will also be unavailable and in many cases, the candidate’s name will also be redacted.
How is record ownership determined?
Depending on your access level in the CWP, the following general rules apply:
Accounts
Applicable to Tier 1 and Tier 2 partners
You become the record owner when your create the Account record.
Contacts
Applicable to Tier 1 and Tier 2 partners
A contact is attached to a company. Once again, you become the record owner when you create the contact record.
Job Orders
Applicable to Tier 1 and Tier 2 partners
You become the record owner when your create the company record. Note that you can only create job orders for companies for which you are the record owner.
Candidates
Applicable to all partners
You become the record owner when you create a candidate record manually, or when a candidate applies to a vacancy via our web site which is attached to a job order created by you.
Sharing a record
You can share records with other users of CWP. You might want to do this if you are collaborating with another recruiter regarding a client or candidate. This is easily done by assigning an additional user to the record in the top right of the details screen.

You can share a record with as many other users as you wish, however only the record owner can share a record. If you have access to a record because it has been shared with you, you are unable to share it with another user.
If you no longer want to be the record owner, you can assign ownership of the record to the System Administrator. Records assigned to the System Administrator will be accessible by all users.
